Stella's Nursery Decor

Decorating Stella's nursery was one of the things I was looking forward to the most while being pregnant! From the moment I knew I was expecting I began  planning both boy and girl nurseries! Our house is pretty small, so I knew that I wanted to start with a neutral pallet, mostly shades of grey, to help the space feel larger than it is.  As soon as I found out that Baby B was a girl, the rest fell quickly into place!

-We are fortunate to have this bonus room attached to our master. I was using it as a large closet/dressing room, but I quickly gave it up for Stella! I decided to paint the room a very soft grey, which would later be carried out into almost every other room of our house because I loved it so much!

- Her crib was one of the first pieces I chose! I decided to go with a classic white style from Pottery Barn Kids. I knew I wanted something that looked a bit traditional, yet was simple in style. I chose the Fillmore Convertible crib! I love it's simplicity, yet traditional trim detail!

I chose the Wingback Convertible rocker in Washed Grainsack Flax from PBK for her room! I wanted a piece that didn't scream nursery so that it would fit in our house after she transitioned to a toddler room!

For the bedding, I chose a light grey crib skirt and bumper from Restoration Hardware Baby! I decided to add a touch of color by purchasing a crib sheet with soft pops of mauve. I absolutely love the soft look of her crib and bedding!

-I was fortunate to find the most perfect rug by accident at Home Goods when I was shopping one day. (I love that store SO much you have no idea!) I also picked up the grey woven ottoman there as well. My mom snagged me the perfect end table from a local store in Arkansas, and I added the other elements for a steal as well! Her white bookcase/bench was a clearance Target find that I repainted white, and her changing table is a dresser from Ikea!

The ceiling fan was swapped out for this beautiful chandelier that my aunt and uncle bought for Stella from Ballard Design, and the frames, vintage grain sacks that we turned into pillows, and shelf were all antique store finds!

My favorite decor piece from her room has to be the floral "S" that hangs above her crib! This was a DIY project that I just love! I've created a blog post on how to recreate the look if you want to check it out!!

Decorating this room was so much fun, and I loved the end result. I couldn't ask for a more serene and beautiful nursery for our sweet baby girl! Now that our sweet girl is becoming a toddler, I'm beginning to think about how I want her toddler room to look! Any suggestions for toddler room must haves? I'd love to hear them!!
